Parking Information
The Park Street Garage is located directly across the street from the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, on the corner of Pendleton and Lincoln streets. You can access this garage by entrances on Pendleton or Park streets.For free parking, get your parking ticket stamped at the Information Booth in the AT Expo Exhibit Hall during the day. You can see a map that shows the Park Street Garage and the Convention Center at http://map.mapnetwork.com/destination/columbia/.
Where to go once you arrive
The registration table for the Web Conference is not located at the Expo Registration booth. Please go directly to Richland B and C rooms.
If you enter from the main entrance on the upper level, just take the escalator downstairs and follow the signs to the Web Accessibility Conference. You can also enter on the lower level from the parking lot next to the building.
This year's featured speaker is Debra Ruh.
Ms. Debra Ruh is the Founder of
TecAccess,
the leading provider of comprehensive accessible technology programs, disability
employment services, and marketing solutions that allow organizations to better
serve the worlds largest and fastest growing minority group of people with
disabilities and the mature audience.
This year's conference will broaden its focus into more than just web accessibility.
Sessions will include
"Section 508 Compliance,"
"Return On Investment (ROI) of Accessibility,"
"Buying Accessible IT Products," and
"Moving into the Future: The impact of total technology immersion in our everyday life"
We'll also talk to people who use assistive technology, about their challenges
in accessing information technology and the Internet. You'll also have an opportunity
to see exhibits of the latest assistive technology.
On March 20, 2008, we will have an additional training session by Debra Ruh.
Leading the way in Accessibility: An Action Plan for South Carolina
will be held at the SC Department of Archives and History.
